Savannah, GA -  Responding to an urgent need in the Coastal Empire, Savannah attorneys Bob Mason and Kristin Ruzicka Cerbone have formed the law firm of MasonCerbone.

The MasonCerbone mission is to help enhance the quality of life for the aged and people with disabilities by coordinating private resources with public benefit programs through special needs planning and trusts. To meet client needs, the firm offers advanced asset protection techniques, trust-based planning, and special needs trusts.

Bob Mason splits his time between his North Carolina practice (Mason Law, PC) and Savannah. Mason, one of the first attorneys in North Carolina to be designated a Board Certified Specialist in Elder Law by the NC State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, is also a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, past Chairman of the Elder Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, and a frequent speaker on elder and disabilities law issues. Mason is also the monthly legal columnist for Coastal Senior.

Kristin Cerbone has many years of elder law experience in a variety of practice settings. She has worked in both private law firms and legal services programs for the elderly and disabled in Athens, Atlanta, Washington, DC, and the US Virgin Islands.  A past co-chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Younger Lawyer’s Division of the State Bar of Georgia (a forerunner to the Georgia State Bar’s Elder Law Section), Kristin has also served as a CASA Board Member, Savannah, and a Board member of the Coastal Georgia Alzheimer’s Association, Savannah.

Cerbone earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia. Mason is a graduate of Northwestern University and received his law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law.
